My name is Ashanka Kumari, and I am a graduating senior from The University of Alabama.  I was born in Long Island City, New York, but currently reside in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.

On May 4, 2013, I will be receiving a B.A. in English with a minor in Italian and a B.A.C. in Journalism with a minor in music.

​

I was a member of the Million Dollar Band from fall 2009-2012 (the centennial year of the band). 

​

I will be attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the fall for graduate studies in English, rhetoric and composition.
